CAST 

Tarnue Massaquoi  (Nat Turner) is a Stage/Film Actor from West Africa, Liberia. Tarnue studied at Sedona Conservatory Institute under the tutelage of Lisa Wolpe. He's been very blessed to have worked with great teachers and mentors, such as Ellen Geer, Heidi Davis, James Avery (Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum), Ben Guillory, Harry Lennix (Robey Theatre), Joanne Baron (Joanne Baron/ D.W Brown Meisner Studios). Tarnue dedicates his performances to his beloved mother Sarah Massaquoi and to James Avery.

 

 

Baadja Ouba (Bridget, Ensemble) 

ALL THINGS SPIRITUAL AND IN ORDER Baadja Ouba (Baadja Ouba means at one with God who is King) -  to whom she gives thanks daily. Baadja is an actor who loves to perform and who has been performing for a number of years. Her first film debut was in Flatliners with Kevin Bacon directed by Joel Schumacher. Since then she has made numerous appearances on stage, film and television.   Baadja is proud to be a part of another talented ensemble. She would like to thank family and friends for taking time out to support this production.

Darrell Philip (Samuel Turner, Ensemble) was born and raised in Texas.   On stage he has been seen as Cyrano in Cyrano de Bergerac, Neil Simon's California Suite,  Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Gross Indecency:  The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, and  Robey Theatre Company’s Pity The Proud Ones, and Bronzeville.   He has studied at the Groundlings with Kathy Griffin, also with Ivana Chubbuck, and Jordana Capra.   He has recently been seen on the TV series “Dead of  Night,” “Unusual Suspects,” and “Murder Book,” an AT&T commercial.  Look for him in the forthcoming films The Algerian, and Saint Mary’s Secret.  His agent is in jail.

Dominique Washington (Cherry, Ensemble)  has been on stage and in front of the camera since she was still wearing pampers. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area she starred in a number of straight plays and musical productions including Footloose and Bugsy Malone. Later, she moved to Los Angeles to study Film and Theater at the University of Southern California. She has traveled to London where she studied at the British American Drama Academy and starred as the title character in Antigone on a British stage. Now an official Angeleno, she cherishes every moment she is blessed to work in film, television, and on stage. 

Hunter C. Smith (John Clark, Ensemble) is an actor, stunt performer, and fight choreographer for stage and film. While he enjoys working with film, the stage will always be home. He is thrilled to be a part of such a talented cast and grateful to work with Dan and Paula on such a great show! As always, special thanks to my folks and sister, Natalie, for all your support!

Asante Jones (Gabriel) hails from Cleveland, OH. An LA transplant for 19 years now, he has carved out an impressive Hollywood resume. Amassing over 60 titles on IMDb, he has been blessed to be a full time actor for 13 years. His most recent Hollywood conquests include a recurring role on SCANDAL and Guest Star appearances on NCIS:LA, HENRY DANGER and a top secret video game to be released next year. You can also go to the theaters next year to catch his Lead role performance in the new John Travolta film, I AM WRATH. Asante is #BlessedAndGrateful to be participating in Paula Neiman’s stellar work of art.

Darius Dudley (Hubbard, Ensemble) is an escapee from the Midwest and the city of Detroit. Mr. Dudley has a recognizable face, an infectious laugh and a finely chiseled body that is at war with the dumpiness displayed before you today. He wishes to thank his mentors Eric Morris, Del Close and Greg Dean for providing him the basics of his acting technique. He also thanks his many students who’ve constantly pushed him to learn and give more, and of course his family, without whom he’d be worth a lot of money. Ask him about his motorcycle, Montana. With over 122,000 miles under the wheels, Mr. D is extremely appreciative of the way his fellow Angelinos have refrained from knocking him from it—most of the time. In fact, he abundantly thanks you for your kindness in sharing lanes during rush hours as he winds his way to and from auditions, shoots and performances throughout the basin. Finally, he thanks you, the audience member. He thoroughly recognizes that without YOU and your willingness to take part in the troika of actor, stage and viewer, there would truly be no magic.

 

Dennis Delsing (Judge Cobb, Benjamin Turner Ensemble) 

Dennis, a native of chicago, is veteran of the Los Angeles theatre scene with over 80 plays to his credit. He wishes to thank his director, his producers and, most off all, his castmates for letting him play with them. As always, he dedicates his performance to Amanda, Logan and Silas.

Glenn Bond (Jack, Ensemble), hailing from North Carolina, has appeared in numerous stage plays across North Carolina and Virginia. Ranging from A Raisin in the Sun, to A MidSummer Night's Dream, to Neal Lebute's Reasons to be Pretty. Glenn has received university level training in both stage and film from Old Dominion University in Virginia and recently has been training under Phaedra Harris' audition lab. Glenn received his Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from Elizabeth City State University. Glenn can be seen working in projects ranging from numerous short films for the New York Film Academy to recently a Dave and Buster's commercial. Future projects for Glenn include a web series titled "Like Family", and a self-written short film."

Jennifer Lieberman (Nancy Parsons, Ensemble) is excited to be a part of “Nat Turner: Following Faith” and to be working with such a talented team!  Jennifer’s solo show Year of the Slut, Directed by Jeff Murray, won the Audience Choice Award at the Frigid NY Festival 2011.  She was a company member at The American Mime Theatre (NYC), a founding member of Edge of Insanity Productions (NYC) and the Edgemar Theater Company (LA). Some of her favorite NYC stage credits include: Charmian, Antony and Cleopatra; Rosa in Rosa Rain - Winner of the Jean Dalrymple Award for best Direction; and Jamie Lee Galaxy Video - which was published soon after its East Village debut.  Jennifer is a series regular on the sitcom The Neighbors on Hulu.com and her first book AURAL SEX: Naughty Notes for Lovers is available on Amazon.com.  Miss Lieberman is from Maple, Ontario, Canada and holds a BA in Philosophy and English Literature from York University. www.JJRockstar.com

Terry Woodberry (Moses, Henry, Ensemble) moved here from Connecticut in the early 80's to study Theater at USC, where he received his BFA degree. He has recently completed a run of 

the production Oedipus Machina at the Odyssey Theater. He has also performed in the Hollywood Fringe Festival at The lounge theater and various productions at the Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon. He has appeared in various commercials such as Verizon, Subway, Chevy, McCormick and TV episodes of 24, Southland, and NCIS. 

Sade' Moore (Nancy, Lucy, Ensemble), a Philadelphia native, is enjoying her first season as Karen in the hit web series Mind of a Single Male directed by Geno Brooks.  She is also known for her roles as “Deena” in Living Ain’t Easy& Dying Ain’t Beautiful directed by Don B. Welch, "Bobbie" in Old Friends directed by Tai French and “Jessica” in Love Soul Deep directed by Patricia Cuffie-Jones. Sade’ studied Theatre at The American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York and LA and upon completing the conservatory she earned her BA in English (Creative Writing emphasis) from California State Long Beach University. She is an accomplished dancer trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African and Hip Hop. Sade’s an avid reader and enjoys collecting rare books. She credits her success to God and her supportive family.

Marston Fobbs (Jack, Ensemble) 

Marston Fobbs (Fox TV's Bones / Comedy Central's Childrens' Hospital) is an actor of stage, television and film. The U.S. Army veteran and native of Southern California is often cast as the imposing mentor or the romantic lead. Marston has studied improvisation with The Groundlings and acting technique at Ivana Chubbuck Studios in Los Angeles. In between booking acting roles, Marston produces and directs short films for online distribution.

Phrederic Semaj (Hark, Ensemble), a San Diego native, has trained with veteran instructors such as Larry B. Scott, Chris Barnes, and Tasha Smith. Early in his career, Phrederic won the Inland Theater League Award for “Best Actor” for his role in the play “To Kill A Mockingbird”.  Following some television appearances, he played lead role for the HBO short, “Let’s Love Hate”, directed/written by Shia LaBeouf (Indiana Jones; Wall Street).  Phrederic was nominated for a 2014 NAACP Theatre Award as “Best-Lead Male” for his portrayal of “James Lawrence" in “The Good Negro”, a performance which received rave reviews in the Los Angeles Times, Backstage West, and LA Weekly.  Also in 2014, Phrederic played the lead in “Living and Loving In the Moment”, a short film which premiered at Cannes. Most recently, he was the lead in Michael Phillip Edward’s “Blood”, voted Top 10 Plays in LA by Stage Raw.  Phrederic would like to thank Director Dan Martin and Playwright Paula Neiman for their trust, support, and belief in his craft. He plans to continue growing/developing his craft.   

Sara Davenport (Mrs. Whitehead, Ensemble) is pleased to be a part of this production.  She has previously been seen on stage in Macbeth, Bats in the Belfry, Happy No Year, The Middle American, Christmas Eve, Oleanna, Laundry and Bourbon. Sara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from California State University Northridge, and has studied at AIDA. 

Cydney Wayne Davis (Bridget, Ensemble) 

is a professional singer, actress, songwriter, playwright and vocal coach. A co-songwriter for Diana Ross' single "You're Gonna Love It" and former backup singer for Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Barry White, Joe Cocker, Donna Summer and Stevie Wonder and still tours with Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. formerly of the 5th Dimension. Her theater credits include Robey Theatre Co's. "River Niger", "Anna Lucasta" and "The Magnificent Dunbar Hotel" in which she also wrote the theme song, "Meet Me At The Dunbar", and vocal coached her cast mates. Winner of the 2013 NAACP's Theater Award for "Best Supporting Actress". Her film credits include Jean Claude Lamar's "Basketball Girlfriend'', "Assistant Motives" and "Chocolate City". Cydney is happy to be a part of "Nat Turner Following Faith.

"Justin Greenberg" (John Clark, Ensemble) 

Justin is thrilled to be making a return to the stage after ‘o’ wee bit o’ hiatus’, and is honored to be in such good company. He spent his college days on stage in Chicago, roaming the halls, even classrooms, of Columbia College and Second City, and performed on the city’s ‘indy’ theatre circuit before shipping out to Los Angeles. He now spends most of his time in front of a favorite audience, SoccerKidsUSA, where bringing smiles to 3-10 year olds warms his heart. He’s the proud father of soon-to-be five year old, Elsie, and a lucky husband to an incredibly supportive wife, Julie. Justin was recently seen in the web series: TALENTS.
